The August Reset : Returning To Feminine Dominance
Summer is winding down, but let’s get one thing straight: we aren’t just “going back” to school. We are returning to the spaces we were meant to dominate.
Whether you’re a high school senior preparing for your final act or a college woman stepping back onto campus, August is the month we stop drifting and start designing. In my world, we don’t let the semester happen to us…we dictate the energy of the room. This isn’t just a new school year; it’s a return to form.
Here is how I’m resetting for the 2025-2026 academic year.
1. The Pinkprint: Master Your Mindset

A queen never enters a new season without a strategy. You can’t command a domain you haven’t mapped out. I’m sitting down with my Pinkprint: What are my academic non-negotiables? What scholarships am I chasing next semester/next year? Who am I becoming in these next four months?
The Move: Take an hour this week to write down three things you will achieve by December. Don’t just wish for them…script them into existence. If you need a framework to organize your takeover, check out my Big Sis’ ErinOnDemand.com’s TOP 3 NOTEBOOK PLANNER! Getting your tasks in order is the first step to taking ownership of not just your brand, but your LIFE. The Top 3™ Notebook is a daily goal guide designed to help you take the pressure off productivity so you can crush your goals with confidence. 6-month undated planner of quarterly, monthly, weekly & daily spreads. Orders will be processed in 2-3 business days!
Until I create my own planner for 2027 (lol), this is the placeholder guide to your personal Pinkprint that I approve of.
2. The Ritual: Maintenance for the Muse
The stress of a new schedule can show up on your skin before it shows up in your grades. I’ve learned that I cannot walk in my dominance if I’m neglecting the goddess in the mirror. Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s a requirement for the woman in charge.
My Sunday Reset ritual is my “divine maintenance.” I’m currently leaning into this Peter Thomas Roth DUPE called QRxLabs 10% Glycolic Acid 2% Salicylic Acne Clearing Pads as well as Biossance Squalene+ DUPE called Dr. Brenner’s Night Oil Treatment. Both of these are my go-to products especially when I’m so busy sometimes that I don’t eat as good because it WILL show in your face. These products protect me from that.

Nonetheless, it’s more than just skincare; it’s a ritual of self-respect before the noise of the semester begins. You have to treat yourself like the prize if you want the world to do the same.
3. The Uniform: Adorned for the Throne
We all know the “first day” outfit is a tradition, but let’s evolve it. I don’t dress for trends; I dress for the role I’m looking to be in. This year, my style is about clean lines and pieces that say I’ve arrived without me having to say a word. Rich Feminine Luxury, baby!
I’ve added different Feminine Melanin University hoodie to my rotation because it’s the perfect blend of “Scholar” and “Boss.” When you look like the person in charge of her destiny, you start to believe it! It becomes your reality…instantly! And everyone else.
4. Let’s Talk: The Inner Circle
I’m heading back to the University of Michigan, and I know the transition can be heavy. Especially coming off of just losing my very close auntie yesterday and finding out my uncle’s wife passed away this morning. I’m truly going through it. But whether you’re dealing with roommate anxiety, scholarship stress, or just trying to find your footing as a Black woman taking up space, I’m here.
So much is going on for me right now but July 2026, I’m creating a space for you all to ask anything, anonymously. No judgment, just real talk from one young woman building her world to another. Feel free to sign up for my newsletter so that you are reminded of when The Inner Circle drops!
Wishing you a great August! Stay feminine, stay focused, and remember: You are the crown and the kingdom. You are a Goddess walking the halls of your own creation, and your dominance is divine. You’re just a woman, but they’re merely guests in the world you’ve built for yourself.
