The Homecoming Glow: Elegance In The Crowd
Homecoming season is about more than just a game; it’s a celebration of where we belong and how far we’ve come. Whether you’re walking onto the field or joining the crowd in the Big House, this is the time to embrace the energy of the season with style and grace.
As I watched the trees begin to change, I realized that Homecoming is about so much more than a football game or a halftime show. For us, it’s a reunion of the soul. It’s a moment where we get to pause the late-night study sessions and celebrate the women we are becoming in real-time.

As a scholar and a dancer from high school, I’m used to being “on”. I’m used to the lights, the stage, and the pressure to perform. But during Homecoming, the whole campus feels like a stage and the pressure to look good can be overwhelming. I wanted my sophomore year to feel different. I wanted to focus on the “glow” that comes from the inside. The one that happens when you’re laughing too hard with your friends in the stands or feeling that deep sense of belonging as the band marches down the street.
In my 2025 world, the “Homecoming Glow” isn’t just about the perfect outfit…it’s about the spirit I bring to the celebration.
- The Look: I’m leaning into pieces that feel timeless yet bold. For those crisp Michigan afternoons, it’s about layering textures and colors that make you feel like the best version of yourself without trying too hard. Check out places like SHEIN for the casual tailgating signature pieces I’m wearing to stay comfortable while keeping the aesthetic elevated. When you feel comfortable in your clothes, you have more room to be present in your joy.
- The Experience: Homecoming can be a whirlwind. My advice? Be present. Take the photos, cheer for the team, and enjoy the people around you. You don’t need to be everywhere at once; just be fully present wherever you are.
- The After-Glow: When the sun finally sets over the Big House and the crowd thins out, I make sure to return to my ritual. The “After-Glow” is just as important as the event itself. I’ve been using the Dr. Brenner’s Night Oil Treatment after I wash the day away, and I’m not just talking about makeup. I’m my way of honoring the goddess who showed up, took space, and enjoyed her life!
Stay feminine, stay focused, and remember: Your radiance is your birthright. You are a Goddess moving through a celebration built on the grace of your ancestors, and your joy is your power. You’re just a woman, but the world revolves around the light you bring to it.
With love,
